"The Exclusive Bed & Breakfast in Big Bear"

"The ONLY B&B that is a part of
Big Bear Valley's History"

Built in 1928, Gold Mountain Manor, a 6000 sq ft. Log mansion built by Alexander Barret, a wealthy Los Angeles movie investor, and his beloved wife, Bessie. The mansion, designed by architect Guy Sherman Maltby, sits on an acre forested with pine and cedar trees and is indeed as beautiful today as it was in early years.

The manor is decorated with antiques and mission style furniture, and has six guest rooms, all with private bathrooms and woodburning fireplaces. In addition, the manor has a den which features a pool table, a surround sound movie system, and a library. The guest kitchen offers an assortment of coffees, teas, and baked goods and the warm cozy parlor features a quartz rock fireplace. A warm old fashioned verandah wraps the mansion, and offers dreams of years past. A gourmet country breakfast and hors d'oeuvres and beverage in the afternoon are also included.

We are featured in the books, Best Places to Kiss, The Fifty Most Romantic Places in Southern California, Triple A, Weekends for Two in So. California and many more Bed & Breakfast books.

Gold Mountain Manor is 1 block from the National Forest, 2 miles from Holcomb Valley Gold Mine trail, 1.5 miles from Big Bear Lake, and minutes from hiking, biking, skiing, boating, horseback riding and fishing. We are located on quiet prestigious Northshore, only minutes from the hustle and bustle of Southshore.
