The club was established in 1975 with the purpose
to further the exchange of information and cooperation
between members, to promote knowledge, to prepare for
service in the community in time of disaster or need
for emergency communications, and assist all persons
who desire to learn and become proficient at Morse
Code, radio and electronic theory and ultimately become
FCC licensed Radio Amateur Operators. Today
the BBARC is one of the largest clubs in Southern
California. The BBARC is an affiliated club member
of the American Radio Relay League.
