CAMP TANDA serves church groups, Christian families and non-profit organizations. Tanda was founded in 1947 by members of the Churches of Christ. It is not however limited to their membership. Those who use Camp Tanda include many from the Christian community.

LOCATION: Camp Tanda is near the lake in Big Bear Lake, California. It sits on nine acres in a rustic, clean and natural setting. This year-round facility accommodates midweek retreats, weekend retreats and week long summer camp sessions.

PURPOSE: Camp Tanda exists to glorify God by serving His people. In this complex, busy, pressure-filled world, Christians need times of rejuvenation and fellowship. Tanda is a place where young and old can gather together in Christian love, a place where the Christian experience is shared.

FACILITIES: The main lodge, fully equipped kitchen and two large dormitories can accommodate up to 80 people year round. A-frames and semi-permanent tent structures are added in summer to house a total of 150 campers. Camp Tanda's outdoor facilities include a patio eating area, the church bowl, fire ring, basketball court, horseshoes, volleyball, and more.

RATES: Weekend and midweek retreat rates are $16.00 per person per day. To help us keep our rates as low as possible, there is a 30 person, two day minimum charge. (Minimum camp rental would be 30 campers X $32.00=$960.00) Camp Tanda also offers six day rentals in July and August. The cost is $60.00 per camper with a 70 person minimum.
